BRONXVILLE, NY – JUNE, 19, 2026 – The Community Fund of Bronxville, Eastchester, and Tuckahoe’s Board of Directors gathered on June 16 at Westchester Country Club to celebrate recent accomplishments, honor retiring Board Members and Evaluations Co-chairs, and elect new board members and officers. We are honored to welcome the following new board members:
Marc Burstein recently retired after 45 years at ABC News, where his work earned multiple awards including Emmys, Peabodys and DuPonts. For the last 28 years, he was the Senior Executive Producer responsible for all breaking news and political coverage on the television network. Prior to that, Marc was Executive Producer of Good Morning America. Marc and his wife, Lori, have lived in Bronxville since 1999 and their three children all attended The Bronxville School. Marc and his black lab, Hudson, also volunteer and perform healing therapy in the area through The Good Dog Foundation.
Tammy Cushman has been an active volunteer in the Bronxville community since 2003. She has served on the boards of The Bronxville Field Club, Concordia Conservatory, and the Junior League of Bronxville. Tammy was active in the Bronxville School as class parent, grade chair, and PTA Treasurer. She has also given her time as a volunteer for the Destination College program at Mount Vernon High School. Prior to dedicating herself to her family and community, Tammy worked in finance for The Los Angeles Times. Tammy lives in Bronxville with her husband Chip. They have two sons.
Katherine Grant was born and raised in Bronxville and graduated from The Bronxville School in 2005. Katherine works as a Senior Portfolio Manager at LGT Capital Partners. She has spent her career in the investment management industry since graduating from Georgetown University’s Walsh School of Foreign Service. After college and several years living in Manhattan, Katherine and her husband, James, returned to Bronxville in 2019. Their children, Mackenzie and Brendan, are now students in the Elementary School. As a lifelong member of the Bronxville community, Katherine is grateful for the opportunity to support The Community Fund and its noteworthy mission.
Nick Marino and his wife, Jessica, have lived in Bronxville with their three children since 2019. He is a Portfolio Manager at Balyasny Asset Management. Nick earned his undergraduate degree from Georgetown University and an MBA from Columbia University.
Julia Vizza graduated from Cornell University with a Bachelor of Science in Applied Economics and Management. Following graduation, she built a successful career in the financial services industry, beginning at Merrill Lynch and most recently serving as a Director at Summit Rock Advisors until 2024. Over the course of more than a decade, she worked with both high-net-worth families and charitable institutions, providing thoughtful, personalized service to help them navigate their financial needs. Julia and her husband moved to Bronxville in 2021 where they are raising their two children who attend The Reformed Church Nursery School.
Rev. Dr. Matthew Waterstone began his ministry at The Reformed Church in October 2018. He is the author of the book Dear Church: Letters to My First Church, as well as many articles, blogs and podcasts. Ordained in the RCA and a native of Holland, MI, Matt graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Hope College, and holds Master of Divinity and Doctorate of Ministry degrees from Western Theological Seminary. Matt is very active in youth sports across Bronxville and Tuckahoe. He has been married to his bride, Sarah, for 19 years and together have a current 9th and 6th Grader at The Bronxville School.
Chris Bush, entering his third year as Board President, will be joined on the Executive Committee by John Atsalis, Vice President/President-Elect; Sal Renzo and Samantha Reiss Gibson return as Treasurer and Secretary respectively. Atsalis, formerly the Investments Chair, will hand responsibilities to incoming board member, Katherine Grant.
New Evaluations Co-Chairs, Sarah Normand —who most recently served as Vice President — and Stephen Lamberton take over for retiring Chairs, Caitlin Greatrex and Katrina Nay, who implemented a new discretionary grantmaking rubric and brought increased efficiency to our processes and procedures. Greatrex also previously served as Vice President.
Lisa Hery, Katrina Nay, Maria Sayegh, Sal Renzo, were all re-elected to second terms. Francesco Clark, Holly Hetherington Collier, Matthew Foster, Caitlin Greatrex, Justin Griffin, Beth Larkin, Michelle Meyercord, Pamela Morrisroe, and Donato Vaccaro continue as Directors.
Jessica Benjamin will retire after three years lending direct support to The Fund’s outreach and fundraising efforts, and together with her husband Jim, sponsoring the annual golf outing, and starting a new tradition of providing sponsored foursomes in honor of local first responders. After two three-year terms where she served on the Grantmaking Committee, as Evaluation Captain/Evaluator over several grant cycles, lent operational guidance to our major fundraisers, and conducted fundraising outreach, Lisa Dawson will also retire as a board member, but will remain attached as a new Youth Community Fund Co-Chair next year. Darla Silva also departs to a new home in a new state with her husband, William. Our Youth Community Fund met Darla this past winter when she spoke with them about UNICEF’s global health initiatives. That meeting sparked the formation of a local health initiative, to be led by the students.
For 106 years, The Community Fund has supported nonprofit organizations and essential services across Bronxville, Eastchester, and Tuckahoe.
