Divorce Support Group for Women Begins 1/14

At their November 2025 meeting, The Community Fund Board voted to issue a Mental Health Grant up to $10,000 to The Counseling Center in support of a series of professionally-staffed community support groups to be held throughout 2026.

“We’re proud to partner with a specialized organization like The Counseling Center that provides vital mental health support to our community,” said Community Fund Board President, Chris Bush. “I look forward to collaborating with Virgil and his team on public programs and events this year,” added Shannon McDonough, The Fund’s executive director. The Counseling Center is also exploring ways to support other local residents going through major life transitions. Please find details about the first group in the series directly below.

Register for the Support Group for Women Going through Divorce

This group, facilitated by licensed therapists, will offer a confidential, supportive, and non-denominational setting in which to work through this major life transition. A pilot program offered this past fall saw rapid, organic enrollment. Participants also reported a high rate of efficacy and satisfaction. The group will begin meeting at The Reformed Church of Bronxville, on Wednesday, January 14, from 6:45-7:45pm.
