The Community Fund of Bronxville, Eastchester, Tuckahoe, Inc. announced eight recipients of the Michael Frey Scholarship Award at its annual meeting, which was held on May 29, 2018.
The Michael Frey Scholarship recipients for the graduating class of 2018 are Andrew Babyak, Sophia Feinberg, and Sally Reynolds from Bronxville High School, Dora Contessa, Francesca Spinetti, and Katherine Bugbee from Eastchester High School, and Kathleen Healy, Sage Richman, and Jada Pearson from Tuckahoe High School.
Each year, The Fund allocates monies toward scholarships, which are given to local graduating seniors in memory of Michael Frey, an Eastchester police officer who lost his life in the line of duty, and in appreciation for all the dedicated emergency workers in our community. Students are chosen by their schools’ administration in recognition of their service and dedicated support of their peers at school and the community at large.
