Methodology for New Ambulance Purchase

By Jude Valerioti, President

The main purpose of EVAC’s funding request is for the purchase of a new ambulance to replace our 2010 LifeLine ambulance. The new ambulance and our 2023 ambulance would serve as primary response vehicles and our 2019 ambulance will round out the rotation. We expect this ambulance to cost approximately $285,000.

An ambulance committee has been appointed by the President/CEO and is tasked with compiling a list of specifications for the new ambulance and an updated proposal will be created to ensure that our ambulances are specific to manufacturer standards to maintain consistency.

Under the direction of member and Fleet Manager, Scott Mikos, our ambulance committee will be able to assist with the specifications of the ambulance and the new ambulance will be ordered with minor alterations and amendments of our last purchased vehicle in 2023.
