More than 100 local residents came together on Friday, April 26th, at the Broken Bow Brewery in Tuckahoe to raise awareness – and glasses! – to The Community Fund. The Community Fund is a local non-profit organization dedicated to providing critical health and wellness services to community members in Bronxville, Eastchester, and Tuckahoe.
Community Fund Board members and staff were on hand throughout the evening to share information and updates about The Community Fund’s grants, programs, and ways to get involved. The over $3,000 raised that evening will go directly to local non-profits making a tremendous impact in our community.
The Community Fund Executive Director, Amy Korb, said, “Broken Bow was the perfect venue for this event. Not only was it great to support a local business in our community, but it was fun and engaging, and residents from all three communities mingled and learned more about the many local non-profits we support. Events like these are essential for rallying support for our cause. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of all our local residents.”
The event was a success thanks to the tireless efforts of Donato Vaccaro, a Community Fund board member who organized it, and the event underwriters—Maria and Tony Sayegh, Anne Sekula, and Robin and Dave Lewis.
The Community Fund hopes this will be the first of many events at Broken Bow, combining fun, philanthropy, and community spirit!
