YCF Evaluator Sign Up

The Community Fund’s Evaluation Cycle Begins in early 2025 and YCF Members can volunteer as youth evaluators!

What is it?

Each year, The Community Fund receives applications from local agencies requesting funding for different programs and services that impact the Bronxville, Eastchester, and Tuckahoe communities. The Evaluation process is how TCF makes decisions about how to allocate the funds that we raise. Community members volunteer as Evaluators, and YCF members can volunteer as Youth Evaluators.

How does it work?

Evaluators work in teams of 2-3 Community (adult) Evaluators and 1 Youth Evaluator. Each team is assigned an agency, reviews the application, and meets with their agency. During the meeting, Evaluators find out more about the organization and the program for which they are requesting funding, and ask any questions they might have. After the meeting, each Evaluation team completes an Evaluation writeup and makes a funding recommendation. We don’t expect Youth Evaluators to be responsible for the writeup, but we do want you to share your thoughts and perspective with your team! The writeup and recommendation is passed along to The Community Fund Board of Directors, who uses this information in determining grant allocations.
