The Community Fund not only gives over $500,000 a year to local no profit agencies it works tirelessly to connect Bronxville, Eastchester, and Tuckahoe and provide support to all of its residents. The Fund is here for you throughout the year to provide you with way to connect with your neighbors, give back to others, and take advantage of all that this wonderful community has to offer.
Ways to Get Involved!
- Become an evaluator. Volunteer to work with us during the grant evaluation process. You would be surprised at how many of your friends and neighbors have participated in the past. It is a great way to meet new people, understand the pressing need in our community, and use your assets to guide a local nonprofit into long term sustainability. The commitment is only a few hours in the Springtime.
- Host a cottage talk. The Community Fund works closely with many of our agencies to provide important information to our residents in a small and casual setting. We work hand in hand with the Maxwell Institute to educate both children and adults about the danger of drugs and alcohol. With The Community Fund’s assistance, Lily Neuman will come to your home and meet with an individualized group of your choice to create an informational session on vaping, drugs, and alcohol use in middle and high school aged children.
- Apply for a discretionary grant. Do you know of a local community program, PTA, or nonprofit that could use funding to further their mission? Many small program don’t apply for grants offered through The Community Fund. This grant process is done on a rolling basis throughout the year and is geared towards smaller programs in need of immediate assistance.
- Participate in our first annual TCF 3 on 3 basketball tournament. The event will take place at the Tuckahoe basketball courts on September 30th. What better way to celebrate our $15,000 grant to upgrade those courts than to use them! More information to follow.
